What are the free features on Artscapy?

General access for art lovers to the Artscapy platform is free. The Standard free membership gives you access to a whole host of features to cover most of your needs as an art enthusiast. These include social features to connect and share images, a collection management system in which you can upload artworks and access the latest curated content and discussion forums.

 Do you have any rules for being an Artscapy member?

At Artscapy we don't impose any strict rules. The platform exists for art enthusiasts to come together, connect, share ideas, and explore art in a positive and engaging environment.

We have a very simple request for you, which is to please stay on topic, respect other people’s opinions, avoid profanity, offensive statements, illegal content, and anything else that might otherwise violate our standard Terms of Use. You may disagree with an idea, but please be respectful of others at all times.

How do I set up a new collectors account?

- Collectors have the opportunity to sell artwork from their personal collections on our platform, subject to a diligent review process conducted by our team.

I am not a collector. Can I still join?

Whether you're an Instagram-scroller, gallery-crawler, or Goldsmiths-graduate, you can fuel your art passion at Artscapy. What's more, with the added benefit of our collection management system, you can view and manage any art you own, be it a single artwork or hundreds of them. No more messy spreadsheets. Just a clear, easy overview.

 

I am a gallery/museum/art institution. Can I join?

Yes! Artscapy has opened up dedicated professional profiles with bespoke features just for you. If you are interested in joining, please send an email to info@artscapy.com and we can let you know more about joining Artscapy as a professional.

 

How do I set up a new artist account?

- Artists on our platform are primarily focused on managing their artwork, connecting with other artists and art enthusiasts, building their artistic portfolios and buying artworks to expand their collection. However, they can't directly sell their own artworks through our platform.

I am an artist. Can I join and sell my artworks?

- Artscapy does not represent artists, and at this stage we do not allow individual artists to promote and sell their work on our platform. However, if you are an artist and just want to discuss art and create connections with other like-minded art lovers, you are in the right place.

Why do I need to confirm my email address?

You are required to confirm your email address so that we can be sure you are the owner of the email address you registered with. Your security is important to us and confirming your email address allows us to better assist you if you need any support.

 

I registered for a new account on Artscapy but did not receive an email confirmation. What should I do?

Have you checked your spam? Sometimes it can happen. Otherwise, we suggest that you click "Send Verification Letter Again" - this notification should come up as a yellow warning on your profile. If you do not have this notification and did not receive an email, you can drop us an email at info@artscapy.com and we can help get you sorted.

 

I've forgotten the email address I used to sign up to Artscapy. What do I do now?

Scroll through your email inboxes to see in which you will have any Artscapy emails. Most email providers will have a search functionality - insert "Artscapy" there to find which email you used to sign up. Once you have identified your email, you can now log back in. If you have forgotten your password, see the "Forgot my password" question and answer for further support. If you still need assistance you can email us at info@artscapy.com

 

How can I protect my account from a security breach?

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone to ensure your account is protected.

 

Where can I change my password?

Step 1: Open your profile menu

1. Locate your profile picture or icon, usually found at the top-right corner of the page.

2. Click on your profile picture to trigger a drop-down menu.

Step 2: Navigate to account settings or click here

1. In the drop-down menu, look for and click on the "Settings" option. This action will take you to the settings page where you can manage your account preferences.

Step 3: Change your password

1. On the settings page, look for the "Change Password" section. This section should be on the right side of your screen.

Step 4: Fill in password details

1. In the "Change Password" section, you'll likely see three boxes to fill in.

2. Start by entering your current password in the first box. This is to verify your identity.

Step 5: Set a new password

1. In the second box, enter your desired new password. Be sure to follow any password requirements (such as minimum length or special characters) that the platform might have.

Step 6: Confirm the new password

1. In the third box, repeat the new password exactly as you entered it in the previous step. This confirms that you typed the new password correctly.

Step 7: Submit the changes

1. After filling in the necessary information, look for a "Save info" button. Click this button to confirm your password change.

 

I've forgotten my password. What should I do?

Step 1: Access password recovery

1. Start by visiting the Artscapy login page from here https://artscapy.com/page/login

Step 2: Initiate password reset

1. Locate the "Forgot Password?" link located below the "Login" button.

2. Click on this link to initiate the password recovery process.

Step 3: Provide your email address

1. You'll be directed to a page where you are asked to provide the email address associated with your Artscapy account.

2. Enter your email address into the provided field.

Step 4: Submit the request

1. After entering your email address, click the "Submit" button. This action will trigger the system to send you a password reset email.

Step 5: Check your email

1. Check your email inbox associated with the email address you provided in the previous step.

2. Look for an email from Artscapy containing instructions for resetting your password.

Step 6: Reset your password

1. Open the email and locate the "Reset my password" link. Click on this link to proceed.

Step 7: Set a new password

1. After clicking the link, you will be redirected to a page where you can set up a new password for your Artscapy account.

2. Follow the prompts to enter and confirm your new password.

Step 8: Save changes

1. Once you've entered and confirmed your new password, look for a "Submit" button.

2. Click this button to finalize the password reset process.

 

How do I change my notifications settings?

Step 1: Locate your profile icon

1. Look for your profile icon or avatar, usually located at the top-right corner of the screen. It might be represented by your profile picture or a silhouette.

Step 2: Open the drop-down menu

1. Click on your profile icon. This will trigger a drop-down menu to appear.

Step 3: Access the settings

1. In the drop-down menu, look for the "Settings" option. Click on this option to proceed.

Step 4: Navigate to the notifications settings or click here

1. After clicking on "Settings," a new page or section should open up with various settings options.

2. On this page, there might be a horizontal menu with different sections. Look for the one labeled "Notifications" and click on it.

Step 5: Choose which notifications to deactivate

1. Once you're in the "Notifications" section, you should see a list of different types of notifications that you receive from the website.

2. Depending on the platform, these notifications could include things like messages, updates, reminders, and more.

3. Review the list of notifications and select the ones you wish to deactivate. This is usually done by checking boxes next to each notification type.

Step 6: Save your changes

1. After you've selected the notifications you want to deactivate.

2. Look for a "Save Info" button. Click on this button to confirm your selections and save your changes.

 

How can I delete my account?

Step 1: Open your profile menu

1. Locate your profile picture or icon, typically positioned in the top-right corner of the page.

2. Click on your profile picture to trigger a drop-down menu.

Step 2: Navigate to account settings or click here

1. In the drop-down menu, find and click on the "Settings" option. This will take you to the settings page where you can manage your account preferences.

Step 4: Edit your profile

1. Once on the settings page, you may land on a page where you can edit your profile details.

Step 5: Delete your account

1. In this profile editing page, look down for a checkbox or option that says "I'm sure that I want to delete the account with content." This option is crucial for confirming your intent to delete the account along with its content.

2. Ensure that this checkbox is marked, indicating your confirmation.

Step 6: Save your changes

1. After marking the checkbox, look for a "Save Info" button. Click on this button to save your changes and proceed with the account deletion process.

 

I've cancelled / deleted my account. Can I request my data?

The Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR give you the right to access your personal information. We encourage you to contact us to ensure that your personal information is accurate and complete. A data subject access request should be submitted to our Data Protection Officer Emilia Gyoerk at Emilia@Artscapy.com. Is there a restriction on how many friends I can invite?

Yes, currently during our beta phase we are allowing you to invite up to 5 of your friends to join Artscapy.

 

How do I invite a friend to join Artscapy?

Step 1: Open your profile menu

1. Locate your profile picture or icon, generally positioned at the top-right corner of the page.

2. Click on your profile picture to open a drop-down menu.

Step 2: Navigate to account settings or click here

1. In the drop-down menu, look for and click on the "Settings" option. This will lead you to the settings page where you can manage your account preferences.

Step 3: Access invite options

1. On this page you will find the section related to inviting friends. It is labeled as 'Invite'.

Step 4: Choose an invite method

1. Within the "Invite" section, you'll likely see two options: "Invite by Email" and "Get the Invitation Link."

Step 5: Friends join Artscapy

1. Your friends will receive the invitations and follow the provided instructions to join Artscapy.

 

And that's it! You've successfully invited friends to join Artscapy.
