Description:
In these photomontages, Christine Davis explores the chaos and combustion of paper remnants from her print archive. Quarantined in NYC while recovering from CoVid-19, she worked in a halted construction site, tethered to the outside world only by the daily arrival of the New York Times. Influenced by the practice of Hannah Höch she punctuates the work with newspaper clippings of current public figures to capture the uncanny sense of unfolding history and time standing still.
