Johanna Seidel
Biography
Born in 1993 in Germany, Johanna Seidel is a Dresden-based visual artist whose creations delve deeply into the essence of nature. Johanna crafts unique visual narratives using a lyrical vocabulary filled with symbols drawn from history, mythology, and dreams, exploring various facets of perceived realities. Her art seamlessly weaves together elements of dreams and the tangible world, forging an immersive universe on canvas. Utilizing a palette dominated by hues of violet, pink, orange, and green, Johanna narrates stories and captures still moments within ethereal spaces, transforming abstract memories and thoughts into concrete experiences.
Johanna completed her MFA at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden and has participated in numerous group exhibitions across France and Germany. Recently, she celebrated her inaugural solo exhibition at Galerie Mellies in Detmold, Germany, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey.
