Biography

Thierry Noir is a French artist known for his vibrant and playful murals that can be seen on walls all over the world. He was born in Lyon, France in 1958 and moved to Berlin, Germany in 1982, just before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Noir began painting on the Berlin Wall in 1984, making him one of the first artists to use the wall as a canvas. He quickly gained recognition for his bold, colorful images of cartoon-like figures, which he painted on the gray concrete surface of the wall.
