Adel Dauood, born in 1980 in Al-Hasakah, Syria, is a contemporary artist currently based in Vienna, Austria. His artistic practice encompasses a range of mediums, including oil and acrylic on canvas, as well as mixed media and charcoal on paper. Dauood’s work often explores the tension between abstraction and concreteness, expressionism and surrealism, featuring motifs that blend human and fantastical elements. His vivid compositions include entwined limbs, pointed teeth, and numerous eyes, creating a dialogue between reality and fantasy.
