Biography

Pure Evil, born Charles Uzzell-Edwards, is a British contemporary artist known for his bold, graphic style and use of iconic pop culture imagery. Born in 1968 in South Wales, Pure Evil spent his early years immersed in the world of skateboarding and punk rock, which heavily influenced his later artistic style.

Pure Evil's career began in the 1990s when he moved to London and became involved in the city's vibrant street art scene. He quickly gained recognition for his distinctive use of bright colors, graphic lines, and recurring motifs, such as the "bunny" character that has become synonymous with his work.

Over the years, Pure Evil's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and galleries around the world, including shows in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Tokyo. He has collaborated with brands such as Vans, Absolut Vodka, and OBEY Clothing, and his artwork has been featured in publications such as Juxtapoz, Time Out, and The Guardian.

In addition to his work as a visual artist, Pure Evil is also a respected curator and gallerist. In 2007, he opened the Pure Evil Gallery in London's East End, which has since become a hub for emerging and established street artists.
