Great Expectations started as a collection of 10,000 unique artworks. Drawing on the logic of Damien Hirst's generative Spot Paintings series (begun in 1986) and following on from the cover he designed for Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album (2021), each NFT arranges 12 emoji-like pregnant women into a strict grid format.

After 2 years into the process, for a limited time, the owners of the NFTs were given the opportunity to convert them into a physical and unique print. In doing so, the properties of the NFT were kept, making each print unique. 748 owners exchanged their NFT into a physical artwork. This is one of those
