phase, when his practice becomes more recognisable and, arguably,
more decorative.

Here, Rotella returns to one of his most iconic motifs: Italian cinema
posters. The composition is legible—a romantic film image featuring
actors, layered but still visually coherent. The tearing is present, but it
functions differently: rather than disrupting meaning, it aestheticises
fragmentation.
