As a market leader in art investment and collecting, we are now growing our commercial operations team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organised candidate to join our team. You will enter a fast-growing company at the forefront of innovation in the art market to be the lead responsible for managing a best in class, smooth post sales experience for our members.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in the art market or luxury and high value products space, with a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Role Mission:

The Post-Sale Executive (PSE) is responsible for overseeing the full post-sale process, including artwork verification and logistics, across all functions requiring the handling, shipping, authentication, storage, and installation of art. Acting as the gatekeeper of Artscapy’s physical operations, the PSE ensures efficient and accurate processing of art transactions. This role demands strong organisational skills while managing a variety of deadlines, and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, the PSE will oversee the maintenance of our local art storage, office installations, and ensure successful delivery and collection of artworks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post-Sale Coordination:
    1. Generate shipping quotes and source optimal shipping solutions for both buyers and sellers.
    2. Manage the complete fulfilment process for both domestic and international shipping orders, including the coordination of packaging when necessary.
    3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all post-sale transactions.
  • Client Communication:
    1. Provide personalised and proactive communication to buyers, sellers, and shipping partners.
    2. Keep clients informed of updates and status changes regarding purchases and consignments, ensuring the highest level of client support.
  • Shipment Monitoring:
    1. Track and monitor all shipments, ensuring delivery timelines are met.
  • Provide timely progress reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Artwork Inspections and Storage Management:
    1. Verify documentation and condition of artwork during the intake process.
    2. Maintain appropriate records of artworks in storage and ensure that all inventory is organised, safely and securely stored.
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in post-sale or logistics operations, preferably within the art or luxury goods sectors.
    2. Experience in handling and managing artworks is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
    1. Proficient in Google Suite for Business, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technology environments.
    2. Comfortable using and learning internal CRM and logistics systems.
  • Communication Skills:
    1. Able to manage communication across a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
    2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer information with utmost discretion.
  • Organisational Skills:
    1. Strong time management abilities, attention to detail, and capability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
    2. A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    1. Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot issues and resolve problems effectively.
    2. Able to provide exceptional client service even in ambiguous or challenging situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in the commercial art world or within the fine art logistics sector is a plus.
  • Valid driving licence is a plus.

Your mission:

  1. Create and advise on bespoke art collections and acquisitions for our collectors and leverage our unparalleled inventory access and services to offer greater value to your clients
  2. Contribute to and collaborate with our growing advisory team to expand commercial opportunities in matching supply and demand of artworks to sell and to buy
  3. Develop new business opportunities to contribute to the commercial growth of the company

Outcomes:

  • Contribute to and benefit from commercial growth and sales outcomes:
    1. Advise on art acquisitions and bespoke portfolio proposals to our clients and your client network
    2. Leverage our award-winning technology to matchmake art requests and offers
    3. Qualify incoming leads to develop and deliver appropriate commercial strategies for different client types
    4. Deliver informative art acquisition proposals using our streamlined, sleek platform
    5. Promote platform and services’ adoption
    6. Deliver sales and revenues, benefitting from our market leading commissions structure
    7. Collaborate with the team to offer unbeatable art investing and collecting opportunities and benefit from the extended reach that our team and network offers
    8. Contribute to the development of our commercial strategy and bring ideas for how Artscapy can bring enhanced value to clients and prospects
  • Be an ambassador of art and technology:
    1. Utilise our award-winning technology to deliver greater access to art collecting and investing opportunities
    2. Deliver convincing, informative proposals and presentations to clients and prospects
    3. Actively promote the value that technology brings to the art collecting experience
    4. Promote art as an asset class and wealth diversifier

  • Expertise on the art market and its dynamics. As a team we have a particular focus on contemporary and post war art, but we welcome other specialisms (your own art collecting or investing experience is a big plus)
  • Commercial savviness: You connect dots within the team and among the requests and offers on the table to close deals
  • Established client network and expanding business opportunities and growth by leveraging and onboarding your pre-existing book of clients
  • Unbiased client focus: Create and present deals that are genuinely promising, bespoke to the client, and offered at a fair price
  • Attention to detail: You have a keen eye to important details and see the value in following (and improving on) internal processes to drive streamlined results for the team and the company
  • Practical persistence: You demonstrate tenacity and willingness to go the distance to get something done, yet equally know where to draw the line when a case is commercially or practically lost
