Banksy's 'Love is in the Bin' | How much is it going for now?

In 2018, the once title ‘Girl with Balloon’ shredded itself after the final knocked price of £860,000 at Sothebys creating a cultural phenomenon across the world. The famous shredded piece that has now been re-titled to ’Love is in the bin’ is back at Sotheby’s London for the 14th of October auction.

Place your bets! How much do you think this is going to be sold for?

        • The original stencil at Southbank was accompanied by a quote that read “There Is Always Hope”.

          • What do you think it really means now in relation to it being shredded ? That actually there is no hope ?  😅

            • I don't know guys, I have some reserves on this result. You know how much I love banksy, but this is off chart. My reserves are mostly on the power of this artwork compared with many others he did that are imo stronger: does it means that his original uniques are all over 16m mark...?

              • The meaning or technique can be stronger but this work has made history! So it is no longer about who is the artist, but about the impact that it made in art history. It will be in art history books in a few years and in a 100 years we will still talk about the event . 16m for history. Surely not 16m for Banksy ...

                • Angel Croft do you mind to expand more on why it made art history..?
