Jemma Elliott-Israelson (b.1994) is a Milan-based curator and art advisor specializing in post-war and contemporary art. She holds a BA in History of Art and Classics from McGill University, an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, and a diploma in Curation from Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Israelson is the founder of Israelson Art Advisory, a consultancy specializing in post-war and ultra-contemporary art with a strong focus on championing emerging talent. With extensive experience curating exhibitions across major institutions and collaborating with world-renowned artists, she brings a keen curatorial vision to projects that intersect art, design, and architecture.
Her practice works to seamlessly integrate museum-quality art into residential, institutional, and commercial spaces. Recognizing the transformative power of art, the advisory curates works that do more than adorn a space—they define it.
Working closely with a global network of rising and established artists and collectors, Israelson offers exclusive access to distinctive pieces across various mediums, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, and works on paper. Each project is approached with thoughtful curation and narrative depth, ensuring collections and commissions feel intentional, timeless, and deeply connected to their environments.
Israelson completed esteemed internships at institutions such as the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. She previously worked as a Client and Business Development Coordinator at Christie’s before serving as Director of Curatorial Projects and Institutional Partnerships at Shifting Vision.
Her recent curatorial projects include ‘I confini dell’alterità’ at the Museo Ebraico di Venezia (April–October 2024) during the 60th Venice Biennale, ‘Ghetto Redux’ in collaboration with the Medici Archive in Florence (2023–2024), and ‘Future Relics’ at Palazzo Corsini del Prato in partnership with Galerie Philia (November 2024) and ‘Milk and Cookies’ at Tube Culture Hall in Milan (2025.)
