As we are currently on invitation-only basis this means you will have to request an invitation to join. Click "Get started for free" and add your email address / complete form. We will add you to our list and shortly you will receive a link to create an account in your email.

Click on the link contained within your email 'Become an Artscaper", and complete the sign up form to create your account with Artscapy. Don't see the email? Please take a look in your spam or non-priority email folders as the email may have ended up there.

If you are already a member but wish to create a new profile

Click on your profile picture at the right top corner of your screen; a drop down menu will appear and at the botton, you will find a blue button "Create New Profile".

Fill all necessary information (all required information includes a red asterisk * ) and click "Submit".

Have you checked your spam? Sometimes it can happen. Otherwise, we suggest that you click "Send Verification Letter Again" - this notification should come up as a yellow warning on your profile. If you do not have this notification and did not receive an email, you can drop us an email at info@artscapy.com and we can help get you sorted.

We value your privacy and so your display name doesn't need to be the same as your real, legal name. But we do need you to provide us with your full name when creating an account. This name will not be available for other users to see. You can change your display name anytime and as many times as you wish. To do this you need to click top right corner in your profile picture; you will see a drop down menu; click "Settings"; you will land on a page to edit your profile; on the left you will find "Display Name"; click and edit it.

You are required to confirm your email address so that we can be sure you are the owner of the email address you registered with. Your security is important to us and confirming your email address allows us to better assist you if you need any support.

When you create your account with Artscapy you agree to the following terms: Terms of Use

If you forgot your password, to get access back to your Arstcapy account all you need to do is click "Forgot Password?" under the "Login" button. Then you will be requested to provide us your email address. Click "Submit" and check your email adress for an email. Click "Reset my password". You will then be redirected to the page where you can setup a new password.

Scroll through your email inboxes to see in which you will have any Artscapy emails. Most email providers will have a search functionality - insert "Artscapy" there to find which email you used to sign up. Once you have identified your email, you can now log back in. To delete your account you need to click top right corner in your profile picture; you will see a drop down menu; click "Settings"; you will land on a page to edit your profile; you will see a horizontal menu with the following options: "Account", "Communications" "Membership", "Payments", and "Delete Account". Simply click on 'Delete account'.

To invite friends to join Artscapy this is what you need to do: click top right corner in your profile picture; click "Settings"; scroll down and on your right you will find a button "Invite by email" and "Get the Invitation Link". Choose your preferred option and your friends will soon be able to join Artscapy.

Yes, currently during our beta phase we are allowing you to invite up to 5 of your friends to join Artscapy.

To change your password click on your icon profile at the right-top corner; A drop down menu will open; click on the "Settings" option. If you scroll down, you will see on the left side of your screen "Change Password", followed by 3 boxes to fill. Write your current password and then choose your new password. Repeat and click "Submit"

To change your email settings click on your icon profile at the right-top corner; A drop down menu will open; click on the "Settings" option. On the right you will see an email box titled "Email settings". Uncheck the "receive newsletters" box and click save.

You can also click on 'Update your preferences' from any of our email communications, this links directly to the page mentioned above where you can update your email settings as required.

You are automatically signed up for our newsetters when you create an account with Artscapy, yipee! However, you can change your preferences and unsubsribe at anytime by going to your account settings. Click on your icon profile in the top right corner, in the drop down menu click on the "Settings" option.On the right you will see an email box titled "Email settings". Uncheck the "receive newsletters" box and click save. Alternatively you can click "Update your preferences" in any of our email communications.

To change your notifications settings this is what you need to do: click on your icon profile at the right-top corner; A drop down menu will open; click on the "Settings" option. You can find the information in your Collection dashboard, placed under the section ‘My Collection’. Your collection dashboard contains a chart showcasing the monetary value that each artist brings to your collection. The parameters are adjustable and you can also see the value of your collection by Artworks, Category, Year of Purchase, and Medium. Click on the three dots next to the ‘Value by’ to set your parameters.

To learn more about the value of each artist, hover your cursor above the chart.

You can find the information in your Collection dashboard, placed under the section ‘My art’. Your Collection dashboard contains a chart showcasing the ‘Portfolio composition’ that you can filter out by Artist, Category, Year of Purchase, and Medium. To adjust the parameters, click on the three dots above the chart and select the desired option. To learn more about the proportion of each category, hover your cursor above the chart. Another way of understanding your collection is by using the table ‘Composition’ placed below the ‘Portfolio composition’ chart. The table specifies the number of purchased and artworks as well as the works that are currently in your collection. In addition, you consult the number of uniques and multiples, the average value of your artworks, and the number of artists in your collection.

You can find the information in your Collection dashboard, placed under the section ‘My art’. A line graph ‘Collection value over time’ displays the evolution of your collection in time. To obtain the precise results, we recommend adding the most recent valuation of your artwork, the estimated value of the artwork at the time of purchase, and the actual purchase price in the 'Acquisition' section of your artwork. You can also obtain the total value of your collection, which is placed below the graph and its growth in %. To view the value of your collection in a given time, hover over the ‘dot’ on the main axis.

You can find the information in your Collection dashboard, placed under the section ‘My art’. Your Collection dashboard contains a ‘Performance’ table that shortlists the overall value of your purchases, sales, realised gain in %, realised gain in £, the current value of your collection, unrealised gain in %, and unrealised gain in £. To have a complete performance review of your collection, make sure you enter information about your purchases and sales in the artwork section.

To view the list of your artworks, click on ‘My Collection.’ You will find the ‘Inventory' list at the bottom of your Collection dashboard. The list contains all the artworks and related information that you have added to the database. You can add a new artwork by clicking on ‘Upload Artwork’ or amend an existing one by clicking on the pen icon on the right side of each artwork entry.

On the horizontal menu at the top of the page click "Collect". In the top-right corner you will see a button "Upload Artwork". Click it and a page will open. Complete all the required infromation to add a new artwork.

A database of artists will unfold when you start typing the artist's name. Select the corresponding artist by clicking on the name. If the artwork was created by several artists, start by, progressively select the names from the database. To remove an artist’s name, simply click on the ‘x’ next to the name. If the list doesn't contain the artist you are looking for you can add a new one. Click on 'Add new' at the bottom of the list and enter the artist's first and last name in the pop-up box that appears. Click on 'OK' to save the artist in the database.

A list of previously added titles will unfold as soon as you start typing. If the list contains the artwork title, simply click on the right one to select it. To add a new title, select 'Add new' at the bottom of the list and manually enter the name of the work and click 'OK' to save the information.

If an artists name or the title of the artwork doesn't appear automatically when you are uploading it simply click on "add new". A small pop up will display, type the name you want and click "ok". You won't be able to publish your piece if you haven't completed this step.

If the production date is not known, you can enter 'Unknown' in the field.

When you have uploaded an artwork it is really easy to edit. From anywhere on the Artscapy website:
1. Click the 'Collect' tab at the top of the website and scroll down to your 'Inventory list' at the bottom.
2. Click on the "Pencil" icon on the right hand side of your chosen artwork.
3. Make your changes and click 'Submit' at the bottom of the form.
Or
From your profile:
1. Click on 'Collection' underneath your name and profile picture.
2. Click on the artwork you wish to edit.
3. Click the three little dots on the right hand side underneath the owner information and then click edit.
4. Make your changes and click 'Submit' at the bottom of the form.

When you have uploaded an artwork it is really easy to delete.
From anywhere on the Artscapy website:
1. Click the 'Collect' tab at the top of the website and scroll down to your 'Inventory list' at the bottom.
2. Click on the "X" icon on the right hand side of your chosen artwork
3. Click yes on pop up box confirming you would like to delete

From your profile:
1. Click on 'Collection' underneath your name and profile picture
2. Click on the artwork you wish to edit
3. Click the three little dots on the right hand side underneath the owner information and then click delete
4. Click yes on the pop up box confirming you would like to delete

Yes! when you are adding a new artwork to your collection, at the bottom of the page, before "Publish", you will see the text "Who can View". Click it and a drop down menu will follow. Click your preferred option.

Does the insurance applies while I am traveling?

Yes, the insurance is in effect worldwide applying the same all risk conditions. You can be at home, on a business trip or on holiday, nothing affects your cover.

How can I take out an insurance policy?

You can take out an insurance policy directly on the Artscapy platform. As soon as all of your data has been registered and the insurance premium has been paid, the user receives a confirmation e-mail from Artscapy. This is generated automatically when the payment is received, and the insurance cover is immediately active.

What is all-risk insurance?

All-risk means all risks. This means that an all-risk insurance policy covers everything that is not explicitly excluded in the terms and conditions. You can see all of the terms and conditions for the respective product in your insurance.

What is excluded in an all-risk insurance policy?

The main thing: everything that is not explicitly listed as excluded is insured. There are no hidden clauses. In general, the careful and appropriate treatment of the insured items by the policy holder is a precondition. Not included are issues such as natural ageing or deliberate damage by the policy holder. There are also insurance cover exclusions in cases of war, nuclear events and state expropriation. What is insured?

How do I know if I am dealing with a partial or total loss?

Normally a partial loss describes for example a small damage and can easily be repaired or restored. A total loss describes a complete damage of the insured object.

What happens in case of a claim?

In case of a claim please log into your Artscapy account. There you can select the affected item and immediately make the claim.

What happens in the case of damage?

In this case the insurer pays for the repair of the object. The cost may not exceed the maximum insurance value.

What happens to an item in the case of a total loss/ write-off?

In the case of a total loss/ write-off, the item becomes the property of the insurer. The customer receives the full monetary value of the item. The customer has to send the item to the insurer. When it receives the item, the payment is made.

Where can I get my damaged object repaired?

To find a suitable repair shop relates to the kind of object as well as the extent of damage. We are happy to assist you once we are in contact with you about your specific claim.

How and when can I terminate my insurance policy?

You can terminate an insurance policy on a monthly basis directly in your account. The policy runs until the end of the month and then the insurance expires. There are no further costs or obligations.

How can I pay for the insurance?

Artscapy accepts payment by credit card or bank transfers.

How can I take out an additional insurance policy?

You can take out an insurance policy here in your account.

How do I know that the payment process has been successful?

You receive an e-mail from Artscapy to confirm that the payment has been received and the insurance is activated. At the same time it is also shown in your collection dashboard as an effective policy.

How is the premium for an item calculated?

The premium depends on the type and value of the item. The premium rates are specified by the insurer, and correspond to the current market rates.

How long does the insurance cover apply?

The insurance cover applies as long as the user has not actively cancelled the policy and the monthly premium has been paid. The policies are extended automatically by a month unless cancelled in your account.

What happens if I have several domiciles?

The user has to state a certain address in your insurance. The insurance cover for the individual insured items applies worldwide, which means that they are also covered at different domiciles.

What insurance law applies?

Please find more information about the applicable law in your insurance conditions. In general the policy is subject to the law of the country where you (as policy holder) have registered your domicile in your account.

What is the insurance tax?

The insurance tax is a withholding tax which is deducted from the insurance premium. The insurer is paying the tax. The amount of insurance tax can be found on the policy.

When are the stated payment systems debited?

The payment systems are debited on a monthly basis. The policies are extended automatically by a month unless you cancel the insurance in your account.

Why does payment with SEPA possibly take a little longer?

During our payment process you are providing us with your bank details which are being registered by our bank and rewired to your bank in the form of a payment request. All required data protection apply! It usually takes a couple of days for the premium payment to reach our account.

Will my contract be cancelled if I don't pay my premium?

Yes, the server will cancel your contract. Without premium payment your insurance cover can not be provided by the insurer. This will happen once you have not reacted to multiple reminders and have two unpaid monthly premiums.

Can a insurance contract be activated without a client account?

No, insurance can only be taken out with an assigned client account. Due to safety regulations, information such as name, personal data and payment details need to be collected individually in the client account.

Can I insure a collection?

Yes, you can insure a collection of objects. Please insure each object individually. In case of a claim you can then quickly identify a single object. Additionally there is then a fixed and agreed value to each object and there will not be any discussions about it. We are happy to assist and also offer assistance in case you need help setting up insurance for a larger amount of objects.

Can I insure individual items?

Individual items can be insured. You can take out the insurance policy in your acount.

Does my insurance become more expensive because I insure a lot of single items?

No, there will only be applied a minimum premium once. In general, your insurance premium decreases in relation to the total sum insured.

How can I take out an insurance policy?

As soon as all of your data has been registered and the insurance premium has been paid, the user receives a confirmation e-mail from Artscapy. This is generated automatically when the payment is received, and the insurance cover is immediately active.

I already have a household content insurance. Does it still make sense to insure items?

It is certainly a good idea to insure individual items separately, because especially works of art or pieces of jewellery, but also handbags etc. are not explicitly insured in a normal house contents insurance, and usually not at the full value. The insurance is with worldwide coverage, so it applies outside of the house as well.

What are the advantages of the insurance policy?

The insurance is an all-risk insurance and guarantees comprehensive cover.

The insurance policy is immediately active once concluded and provides worldwide cover.

You can take out the policy for selected items, things that are truly important to you.

You can manage the insurance policy from your account yourself online.

You can terminate the insurance policy from your account on a monthly basis without stating any reasons.

Payment is made monthly by SEPA direct debit or credit card.

In the event of an insurance claim, settlement is fast and uncomplicated.

What is a policy?

A policy is an insurance contract and thus confirmation of the insurance cover. Important information such as the insured item and data pertaining to the policy holder and the insurer are stated in the policy. When the insurance contract is concluded, you can look at your policy online and download and print it out as a PDF.

What is insured?

All risks are insured. This means that everything is insured that is not explicitly excluded. Who establishes the value of my heirloom or work of art?

You establish a reasonable value and pay the appropriate premium for this. You can, of course, also contact us about the valuation and we will be glad to help.

How can I make a claim?

You can make a claim easily in your account area by filling out an online form. In this online form you will be asked to provide information about the claim circumstances as well as photos uploaded etc. In case of a claim, any claim is towards the insurer. In case of a co-insurance the claim charges are split according to the percentage of insurance carriers with a leading insurance.

What is an underwriter?

An underwriter is the person in an insurance company who decides whether a risk, i.e. an insurance policy, will be entered into or not. As it is naturally not possible for one person to check a large number of policies before concluding each one of them, underwriters draw up certain standards that then serve as the framework for many policies.

Who is my insurer?
