Works are available both from collectors and galleries on Artscapy.
Please look for the ‘Buy Now’ or ‘Make an offer’ right next to every artwork listed in our marketplace. If you cannot see these options the artwork is no longer available and ,therefore, marked as sold.
Artscapy is dedicated to being the most secure and trustworthy marketplace for buying and selling art.
Even though we conduct our due diligence and KYC/B process, collectors have the right to ask the seller/galleries for any additional documentation related to provenance, condition, authenticity etc. For more information regarding the due diligence process please visit our ‘How to Sell on Artscapy’ section.
Artscapy is committed to bringing transparency to the artworld. Therefore, you can always find the price at the right of the artwork.
If you wish to negotiate the price you can select ‘make an offer’ located to the right of the image of the artwork. If you cannot see this option the seller is not accepting offers, and is asking the full listed price. The fees included in an artwork’s price depend on the seller’s listing method.
- VAT: Applicable local sales tax will be automatically added to your order upon checkout. Please note that we do not facilitate reclamation of VAT.
- Shipping Fee: The seller is responsible for providing a quote for shipping and they might also be able to assist with framing, restoring etc.

Please click the ‘make offer’ right next to the image of the artwork. You can submit your offer to the seller and he can either accept or reject your offer.
A good place to start negotiating the asking price, is offering no more that 10% below the asking price. In that way, your offer has a good chance of getting accepted by the seller. Please note that the seller has 72 hours to respond to a submitted offer. Once the offer expires, it is automatically canceled.
If your offer is rejected or the seller has sent you a counter offer, you can respond by submitting an additional offer.
In the case of responding to a counter offer it is advisable to split the difference between your offer and the seller’s most recent offer. After your offer has been accepted or you have used the ‘buy now’ option, you will be prompted to a checkout flow. The payment is due immediately with a maximum timeline of 7 days. In the case of a bank transfer, the payment timeframe can be agreed otherwise
between the buyer and the seller.Once the payment has been settled, the seller will have to prepare the item for shipping within 7 days. If the seller is not able
to ship within the timeline, this must be noted in their account during account setup. Once the work is shipped, you will receive an email from our team with tracking information so that you follow along. You can then enter the provided tracking number into the corresponding shipping company's website to track your order. For any further questions regarding the shipping of your artwork, please contact either the seller directly or the shipping company.
At the moment, we offer the option of transacting securely through Stripe.
The seller is responsible for providing a quote and lead time for the shipment of your purchase. Please bear in mind that a quote for shipping is estimated upon your location, size of work and packing requirements. Please ask the seller for tracking information, insurance for all shipments and any customs fees if
applicable, to avoid surprises. You can contact the seller directly by selecting ‘enquire’ right below the thumbnail of the seller displayed in the listing. In order to list an artwork, you will first need to follow the steps below:

- Condition Report or High resolution images (front, back, signature): These documents will allow us to accurately inform the buyer of the condition of the artwork on sale.

Our team will approve, reject or request additional information from you to come to a conclusion.
We are currently approving artworks for sale based on three documents. You will need to upload one of them, instead of all three. Please find the documents below:
- Timestamp: a photograph of the artwork together with a note on which you write today's date.
- Storage information: storage ID, written confirmations of the storage, other storage information
- Right to sell documentation
You will need to submit:
- The back of the artwork if it is unframed
- The signature of the artist
- The edition details
It is advisable to upload multiple high resolution images, as they will best reflect the condition of your artwork while both attracting more buyers and allowing them to make informed decisions.
Helpful tips for taking images:
- Center at a straight angle and fill the frame.
- Take a picture with plenty of lighting. When natural light is not available, you can perhaps use a ring light to enhance the colors of your photograph. Please note that it is not advisable to capture a picture with your flash activated.
- Take images of any possible faults in your work e.g dents, blemishes.
- Do not exclude details such as signatures, edition numbers or any other additional information such as labels etc.
- Choose a plain uncluttered background. In that way, the viewer will focus on your artwork.
