David Yarrow
Biography
David Yarrow is a British fine-art photographer known for his striking black-and-white images of wildlife, landscapes, and indigenous cultures. Born in Glasgow in 1966, he first gained recognition at age 20 while photographing Diego Maradona at the 1986 World Cup for The London Times. After a successful career in finance, he returned to photography full-time in 2014, focusing on intimate portraits of the natural world captured in remote and often extreme environments.
Yarrow’s work has been exhibited internationally, with recent solo shows including It’s a Wonderful World at Leonhard's Gallery, Antwerp (2024), and The Adventure Continues... at JL Modern, Palm Beach (2025). His photographs are held in major collections and have been auctioned by Sotheby’s. As a committed conservationist, Yarrow has raised over $18 million for charitable causes through collaborations with figures like Cindy Crawford and Cara Delevingne. He continues to live and work in London, creating powerful images that highlight both the beauty and fragility of the planet.
