Alfie Caine
Biography
Alfie Caine (b. 1996) is a British artist who lives and works in East Sussex, UK.
Caine’s practice centres on the construction of immersive, intricately imagined worlds that unfold across multiple scales — from sweeping architectural interiors and idyllic, fantasised landscapes glimpsed beyond their windows, to the careful rendering of cutlery, tiles and patterned fabrics. His compositions, often shaped by his background as a trained architect, reflect a fascination with space, structure and atmosphere. Navigating these dreamlike environments functions both as a retreat from personal challenges and as a means of introspection and self-expression, imbuing his paintings with a sense of quiet contemplation.
Caine has exhibited internationally, with presentations including Rivers and Rooftops, MASSIMODECARLO, London (2025); The Chalk Carver’s House, Margot Samel, New York (2025); Green Stairway and Yellow Roses, MASSIMODECARLO Pièce Unique, Paris (2024); the Whitechapel Gallery Art Icon Auction, London (2023); Moments of Calm, JARILAGER Gallery x Lotte Gallery, Seoul (2022); and his inaugural solo exhibition, What Lies Beyond, UNION Gallery, London (2021).
