Lindsey Bull

Biography

Born in Hereford, UK in 1979 and based in Manchester, Lindsey Bull paints psychologically charged portraits of outsiders, eccentrics, and dreamers. Her figures hover between introversion and theatricality, their postures and gestures giving glimpses at hidden states of mind. She has received the Red Mansion Art Prize (2010), the Liverpool Biennial Associate Artist Award (2016), and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant (2017). Recent solo shows include Mirror at Huddersfield Art Gallery and Posture at All.City, New York (both 2022). She is represented by Bo Lee & Workman.
