Biography
Edgar Plans, born in 1977 in Madrid, Spain, is an acclaimed contemporary artist known for his vibrant and whimsical artworks that often explore themes of heroism, childhood, and social values. Plans' work draws inspiration from street art, Picasso, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, and he identifies his style as "Edgarism," rather than aligning it with the "kawaii" aesthetic, despite some similarities. His creations have resonated widely, leading to significant auction sales and international exhibitions, including recent solo shows at Tang Contemporary Art in Hong Kong and Almine Rech in Paris.
