Danielle Orchard (b. 1985, Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA) is an American painter currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Her work is distinguished by its stylised, figurative compositions that blend influences from modernist painting—particularly Cubism and early 20th-century European art—with a contemporary feminist lens. Orchard primarily works in oil on canvas, depicting women in introspective, domestic, or leisure settings. Her paintings often explore themes of intimacy, solitude, and the inner lives of women, rendered with a sharp graphic sensibility and muted yet expressive palettes.
Orchard has exhibited widely across the United States and internationally, with solo shows at galleries including Perrotin (New York) and V1 Gallery (Copenhagen). Her work has entered several private collections, and she is represented by prominent galleries such as Perrotin and Jack Hanley Gallery. While she has not yet received major institutional awards, her recognition within the contemporary art world is steadily growing. The market for Orchard's work is active, with her paintings appearing at auction and generating strong interest from collectors, signalling a promising trajectory within the art market.
